Bimmy Lee goes on an adventure to obtain the Rosetta Stones and do.................absolutely nothing! Part 1 of 2.
Graphics: They look alright, nothing to really write home about here. The sprites look accurate to the Arcade version. Grade: C+
Sound: The sounds are fairly average, martial arts chop-socky stuff, you know what I mean. The music, however, is pretty good, with the exception of the Egypt theme, which just grates my ears. BTW, where's the Double Dragon theme? Grade: B-
Controls: The controls themselves are OK, with minor delays before each punch or kick. Grade: C+
Gameplay: This game is mind-numbingly difficult. Enemies gang up on you all the time, the only chance you have to really hit them is to get knocked down, and while invincible, attack the enemies. Also, many of the special moves and weapons can only be bought in the shop, which uses up one of your credits. In order to beat this game, you NEED to conserve your credits, or else you're a goner. Grade: C
Plot: I typically don't care for the plot in beat'em ups, however, this one just seems stupid. The Dragons meet with a fortune teller, who tells them to find the 3 stones. No reason is given as to WHY they have to get the stones, making everything in the game seem confusing. Why is Billy fighting mummies, archers, and Cleopatra? WTH? Grade: D-
Overall: The game is mediocre at best, stick to Super Double Dragon, now THAT's a good game. C+
